WOW!

It's been a long time since I posted on this blog.

Let's start from the last post. After Patrick's birth in January, one of my role models passed away all of a sudden. I was working with her in Awana, so I took over the Sparks Counsel Time which was a new experience that I have enjoyed and I am looking forward to this coming year of Awana. Every night I could sense that she was there watching over me. I MISS HER!!!!!!!!!

February started off great. Ben and I went to Camp Barakel with a group of people from our church. Ben and I worked on the West Side with Al and Connie. It was a great weekend. After we got home, Mom sat all three of us kids down to inform us what was happening with our Grandpa. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Doctors were only giving him a few weeks to live. During this time, I was still looking for a job. I ended up finding one three days before he passed away.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. I've visted his grave so many times. I have been helping my mom by going through his belongs. I have alot of things that do remind of me of things him and I did together. For a while there, my room was smelling like moth balls (which I know a lot of people hate that smell, but it reminds me of my grandparents house.

During the month of March, I went to a Red Wings game with Matt on his Birthday. Red Wings won:-)Matt can get tickets from his co-worker. Ben and Matt usually go to the game on their birthday, but since neither of them could afford the tickets, Matt's co-worker just gave them to him. Ben already had plans with Becky, so Matt asked me if I would go.

Ben got engaged on Easter weekend. He met Becky on ChristianMingles.com APril fo 2007. She canceled some date because she thought he was too clinging, but after some persuing, they started dating. They are planning a Jun 1st, 2009 wedding.

I am pleased to announce the arrive of Patrick Ryan. He was born Thursday, January 3rd at 1:08 pm. He weighed in at 8 pounds 8 ouces. and 21 1/2 inches longs. His mother is one of my close friends.

Update on Job

Unfortunately, The hospital has chosen not to fill that position right now. The lady I have been talking to did inform me that I will be first one when and if the position become available. So search continues...if you know of any job, let me know!

JOB!

Well, I thought I would update you on my job searching. My mom found a job at the hospital and so either Saturday or Sunday I applied for it. It's a Culinary Assistant, at least 20 hours week minimum. Pay:$ 9.22 - $ 15.00 Hourly Well, I received a phone call this morning to find out if I was still interested. Michelle, the lady from the hospital, called to do a preliminary interview over the phone. She told me that I was very qualified from the position and that she would be passing my application on to the manger for a face-to-face interview. I should hear from him by next Friday because of the holiday.Please pray that this will work out. I'll keep you posted
